Greensboro, NC - It was senior day for Women's Basketball as they recognized
Nataya Atwater, who is the team's only senior this season. The Pride fell by the score of 73-40 to Southern Virginia, ending the regular season.
Playing shorthanded, Greensboro fought hard in the first half, as
Tamera Hooker and
Kensie Harris helped keep them in the game.
Azuria Barrino, who scored 11 points on the afternoon, also contributed.Â
As the second half went on, SVU's offense looked spectacular as multiple players would score in double figures. It was too much for the Pride to handle, as the Knights finished off an impressive 17-1 conference record.
For Greensboro, Harris scored 10 points while Hooker led the team with 15 points, including 3 three pointers.Â
On February 20th, Greensboro will travel to Brevard College for the first round of the USA South Conference Tournament. Game time is 6:00 PM
