Chapel Hill, NC - The Greensboro men's wrestling team took on #25 North Carolina in a dual meet in Chapel Hill. The Pride lost 47-3, but had multiple competitive matches against the Tar Heels.
Josh Wilson was the lone winner for the Pride, defeating Luke Simcox in the 141 pound match. Wilson is currently ranked #5 in NCAA Division III in the 141 pound weight class. Wilson defeated Simcox by Decision (4-1) after a big take down late in the second period.
Quadir Medley had a strong showing in the 149 pound match against Cullen Kane. Medley lost by Decision (9-7) but put up a strong battle throughout.
It was a homecoming for Pride head coach
Justin Harty, a UNC alum, as he was a four time ACC Champion and four time All-American from 1993-1997 while at North Carolina.
Greensboro will take the mat again when they compete at the Petrofes Invitational December 6th-7th at Messiah University.
