Demorest, GA - The Greensboro College Women's Lacrosse team was down a few players but that did not prevent them from getting back on the field to open up their USA South Conference season against Piedmont University on Saturday. While they were at a disadvantage, the Pride fought hard from start to finish, but ultimately fell to the Lions by a final score of 21-0.
Senior
Sada Hollowell (Norfolk, VA) led Greensboro with four ground balls and five saves, while Sophomore
Rosanna Espinosa-Ponce (Winston-Salem, NC) caused three turnovers and Junior
Sabrina Kerr (Denver, NC) caused two. As a team, the Pride had five draw controls and four clears in the game.
Greensboro will return to action on Tuesday, March 21
st as they travel to Asheville, NC to face Warren Wilson. Start time is scheduled for 5:00pm.
