In a closely contested matchup, the Greensboro College soccer team faced off against William Peace University. 

The action began with William Peace taking an early lead, finding the back of the net just minutes into the game, but Greensboro's defense fought valiantly to hold their own.

The Pride refused to back down. In the 25th minute, Greensboro College's Scott Alarcon-Vegas capitalized on a fantastic opportunity, leveling the score with an impressive strike that sent the home crowd into raptures, with Craig Thomas providing the crucial assist.

In the 54th minute, Axel Garcia-Avila found the back of the net, putting Greensboro College back in contention down by 1 with just under 20 minutes remaining.

Despite their best efforts, Greensboro College couldn't secure that elusive third goal to tie the game. 

The Pride will have a chance to bounce back when they face Mary Baldwin University on October 11th in Staunton, Virginia. The game is scheduled for 4:15 PM.
