RALEIGH, NC--Greensboro's softball team ended the regular season with two wins against Meredith on Saturday.  In game one, Madison Dillner came up with two clutch base hits to give the Pride each of their two runs in the 2-0 victory.  Cheyanne Cox threw a complete game, allowing just three hits to go along with 10 strikeouts from the mound.

Dillner went 3-3 on the day, including a RBI-single in the 2nd to get the Pride on the board, as well as another RBI-single to left field in the 4th to give the Pride an insurance run.  Caroline Stanley also went 2-4 from the top of the lineup for the Pride, who batted for 10 hits for the game.

Game two saw Kassie Simmons punish the Avenging Angels from the mound and from the plate.  She threw a complete game, surrendering just one run and four hits as starting pitcher.  From the plate, her base-clearing double in the 7th put the game away and put GC ahead 7-1.  Madison Dillner again stepped up for Greensboro, adding two hits and two more RBIs in game two.

The Pride would pound out eight runs on eight hits, and cruise to the 8-1 victory.

Greensboro is now 25-11, and awaits a spot and opponent in the USA South Conference Tournament.
