Montgomery, Ala.-Greensboro's Men's Lacrosse team defeated Huntingdon 16-10, improving to 7-3 on the season on Saturday afternoon.
Greensboro opened the scoring at just over a minute in of the first quarter with a goal by Michael Meley to gain the upper hand. Huntingdon answered quickly with the tying goal, but Meley would complete a hat-trick in the 1st quarter with two more goals, to make the score Greensboro 4-1. Dom Scali's goal with :34 seconds left before halftime gave the Pride a 10-6 halftime lead along with all the momentum.
Aaron Larios-Neubert turned in a great game on the offensive end for Greensboro, scoring a game-high four goals on seven shots, including two unassisted goals with under 2:00 minutes left in the 2nd period to increase the Pride lead. GC ended the game with 43 shots, along with 30 ground balls. Another key aspect to retaining possession was that Greensboro dominated the faceoff circle, winning 21 of 28 faceoff attempts.
Chris Stallings was pivotal for the Pride in net, making seven saves in his 7th win of the season.
The Pride are back in action at home on Wednesday, April 6th when they take on Warren Wilson. Game time is set for 7:30 PM.
