GREENSBORO, NC--Greensboro's Women's lacrosse team battled Brevard on Sunday (April 10th), and came up short in a 20-2 loss.
Destinee Allen got the Pride on the board at 13:25 of the 1st quarter to tie the game, but Brevard would score the next 14 goals to go up 15-1.
Lauren Whitley, assisted by Allen also found the back of the net at 5:20 of the 3rd quarter for Greensboro, but ultimately Brevard was able to control the pace of play. Emily Denaga and Parker Moore each scored four goals for the Tornados, while Autumn Kraemer netted six goals of her own. Brevard also mustered 26 shots as a team to Greensboro's 13.
Jenna Tucker and
Cassie Hindes split time in net for the Pride, with Tucker making three saves in the loss.
Greensboro drops to 0-9 on the season, and will look to rebound against Warren Wilson this Wednesday at 4pm on Pride Field.
