Raleigh, NC - The Greensboro College Volleyball team fell in a heartbreaking five set match to William Peace University 3-2 (22-25, 25-22, 25-21, 22-25, 7-15) on Thursday evening in Raleigh in the semifinals of the USA South Tournament. With the loss, the Pride finishes an outstanding season with an overall record of 20-13 (13-5 USA South).
- Greensboro recorded 72 points and 63 kills, to go along with 4 aces.
- The Pride finished with 5 blocks, 60 assists and 95 digs in the match.
- Payton Shiflet registered a team high 20 kills, while Jade Vrobel and Abey Hancock each finished with 9 Kills.
- Jaylyn Templeton led Greensboro with 46 assists, while Lauren Mantel led the team with 27 digs, with Krista Brantley and Templeton recording 14 digs in the match
Coach Troup graduates just three Seniors from this year's team and will look to build in the offseason and make another run for a USA South title next year.
