Roanoke, VA – The Greensboro College Men's Wrestling team participated in the Star City Classic this weekend, which was their first dual format of the season. They faced three teams on Sunday with one of the matches being an ODAC conference contest. While they did not come away with the wins, they did have some outstanding performances for the Pride Wrestlers.
In their first ODAC dual match of the season, Greensboro faced Washington & Lee Sunday morning. Unfortunately, the Generals would come away with the win, however, Junior
Josh Wilson and Senior
Brandon Williams both came away with victories to continue their winning ways this season. The duo would do the same in the dual match loss to Mount Olive, each winning their matches and then Wilson remained undefeated after winning his match over Jordan Hoselton of Thomas More. In addition, Freshman Joseph Akers got his first dual win defeating his opponent by a score of 6-0.
The Pride will have their first home dual match of the season on November 30
th as they host Ferrum College at the Royce Reynolds Family Student Life Center Gym. Stay tuned to
