The Greensboro College volleyball team welcomed the Vikings of Elizabeth City State University for its home opener. Despite taking the first set, the Pride fell to the visitors, 3-1.

Greensboro (6-3) claimed the first set by a score of 25-18. From there, Elizabeth City St. (5-2) began to take control as it won three-straight (25-18, 25-18, 25-20).

Hailey Stout led the GC attack with 10 kills while adding six digs and three aces. Natalie Rosinski hit for .389 (eight kills) as she stood tall at the net with three blocks.

Lauren Kunke paced the defense with 24 digs. Mckenzie Norris hit the 20-dig mark (20) and finished the night with 28 assists.

For the Vikings, Jada Rouse had a match-high 13 kills and contributed 10 digs. Aasia McNeil tallied 10 kills and 27 digs in the game. Naijya Leggett also had 27 digs while Elizabeth Kellum ended the night with 22 assists and 17 digs.

The Pride return to the court on Friday, September 17 against Maryville College at the USA South Crossover Tournament in Brevard, North Carolina. Match time is 3:00 p.m.
