Men's Basketball faces D-1 N.C. A&T

The Greensboro College men's basketball team faced NCAA Division I North Carolina A&T State. Despite a late run from the Pride, the Aggies were victorious, 77-69.

Coming out of halftime, N.C. A&T were leading 28-25 and opened the second half with a 10-3 run to extend its lead to 10 (38-28). Greensboro tried to cut into the deficit but the Aggies slowly grew upon its lead to 18 (75-57) with 2:48 to go in regulation.

Over the final 2:30, the Pride outscored the opponent 12-2 but ran out of time as they fell by the eight-point difference.

In the first half, GC scored the opening two baskets. The Pride held the advantage until the 11:16 mark when N.C. A&T took over, 11-9. 

At the 8:20 mark in the first, Amillia Huggins made a jumper to give Greensboro a 15-13 lead. The Aggies scored the next eight points before GC responded with a 7-0 run as Matthew Brown scored five of those points.

The hosts regained the lead but a three from Ty Hill evened the score at 25 with 57 seconds left on the clock. N.C. A&T's Demetric Horton hit a three of his own to give his team a 28-25 advantage at the break.

Brown led the Pride with 13 points, seven rebounds and four steals. Both Hill and Noah Ford each had eight points as 12 total members of the Pride scored on the evening.

Greensboro travels to Brevard College on Tuesday, November 20 to face the Tornados. Start time is set for 4:00 p.m.
