The USA South Athletic Conference's men's basketball coaches have released their 2021-22 preseason polls. The Greensboro College men's basketball team was voted to finish fifth in the East Division. The Pride went 6-12 overall and 3-7 in conference play.

N.C. Wesleyan was atop the rankings in the East Division poll and will look to capture the program's 11th regular season League title and its fifth tournament crown. During last season's COVID-altered spring campaign, Pfeiffer captured the USA South's East Division championship. 

The 2022 USA South Men's Basketball Tournament will once again be conducted exclusively on campus sites. The top-four seeded teams from each division will advance to post-season play.

Each divisional preseason poll only includes votes from coaches within that particular division-only. Head coaches do not vote for their own teams in the balloting. There are two new additions to the sport of men's basketball within the Conference as Mary Baldwin will field a team for the first time while Southern Virginia enters the League for its first year of membership.
