Q: Where did you play your college ball and when?
A: I played men's soccer at Greensboro College from 2002-2005.
Q: Did you receive any awards?
A: During my career at Greensboro College, I was a three-time first-team All-Conference selection, while also being named Player of the Year two times to go along with two All-South Region selections. In addition, I also earned Rookie of the Year honors in 2002.
Q: If you could speak to high-school soccer players who might be considering Greensboro College, what would you say?
A: I believe that the Greensboro College men' s soccer program is a family unit of young men who are seeking to come together for a common goal. A program that will unite when we face adversity. Also, Greensboro College is an institution that is invested in the growth of the individual and their interest in the classroom and on the field. It will provide you with lifelong relationships that are created with professors, coaches, fellow students, and student-athletes
Q: What is your fondest athletic memory?
A: Being a part of a winning program and creating memories with lifelong friends. Also, winning the conference tournament and having the GC fans storm the field at Bryan park fall 2002 will always be a great memory.
Q: When did you know you wanted to get into coaching?
A: I started coaching as a player in 1998 and I found it to be a very rewarding to be able to pass on soccer knowledge, and even more what I learned from the players in my own personal growth
Q: Who are the individuals that have had the biggest impact on you as a coach and why?
A: Several people have a great impact on me. Ken Dugdale and Steve Edwards, who were both youth coaches for me, and Steve was also the first team coach for western suburbs. They both played a pivotal part in my growth and maturation as player and person as I transitioned at a young age of 14 from playing with my age group to playing with adults and top players and internationals. Also, my father and mother for their support and belief in me.
Q: Describe the coaching path that brought you to Greensboro College.
A: I was fortunate to find myself working with great people thru the college and club seen with the likes of Peter Broadley, Dustin fonder, Darren Powell, Rusty Scarborough, Jason O'Keeffe, Matt Spear, and countless other coaches that have helped my growth as coach. From my first college job at High Point University, Peter and Jason helped me and had faith in me to give me an opportunity with my first team as a club coach as a recent graduate.
Q: Looking back this past season, reflect on your teams' accomplishments and name some things that you were able to take away from it heading into next season.
A: I think we can take a little bit from each year that we can learn from as players mature and continue their development as players and young people. We take away that we are returning a talented team. I believe that they left a lot on field and nothing more important than our team goal of winning the league and conference tournament.
