HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. – The Greensboro College men's lacrosse team fell to the Tigers of Hampden-Sydney College Saturday 17-6.
The Tigers held a 5-0 lead through the first seven minutes of the opening period before
Aaron Larios-Neubert and
Hunter Goodale both found the back of the net to pull Greensboro to within three goals.
However, Hampden-Sydney outscored the Pride 7-0 over the next 15 minutes to take a ten-goal lead into halftime.
Over the final 30 minutes of play, Greensboro continued to play hard but was outscored by a 5-4 margin.
Davis Miller accounted for two of the second half goals, while
Austin Abourjilie and
Michael Halladay had one goal each.
Christopher Stallings made 10 saves in the first half and was credited with the loss while
Kyle Ishler played the final 30 minutes in goal and tallied seven saves.
