STAUNTON, Va. – The Greensboro College volleyball team defeated Mary Baldwin University 3-0 to open their 2019 USA South Athletic Conference slate Wednesday.
Greensboro took the opening set of the match by a 25-19 score before winning the next two sets to close out the match by scores of 25-17 and 25-23.
The Pride offensive attack was paced by
Hailey Stout and
Carly Uhlir, who combined for 19 kills, while
Olivia Norris passed for 25 assists. Stout also had team-high 13 digs on the night and
Natalie Rosinski finished with two blocks.
The Pride will return to action Saturday when they travel to Pfeiffer University for a USA South tri-match. Greensboro will take on Meredith College at 2 p.m. before squaring off with the host Falcons at 4 p.m.
