GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Greensboro College women's lacrosse team fell to the Polar Bears of Ohio Northern Friday 19-2.
Ohio Northern took a 1-0 lead early in the first half before
Kara Whitson scored her fourth goal of the season to tie the game.
Following Whitson's goal, the Polar Bears added four more goals to take a 5-1 lead before Whitson tallied her second goal of the contest with 18:07 showing on the clock.
Ohio Northern then scored the game's final 14 goals over the final 48 minutes of play to secure the win.
"Even though the result was not was what we wanted but we did see some positive things," Head Coach
Kevin Birmingham said. "We will continue to work hard in practice and prepare for our conference opener next week.
Sada Hollowell took the loss in goal despite recording 12 saves.
Logan Schnabl,
Cheyenne Petrillo-Lavier, and Stephanie Carr each had two ground balls.
