Greensboro, N.C. – The Greensboro College women's lacrosse team fell to the Pacers of William Peace University Wednesday 23-14

Greensboro took a 1-0 lead in the opening minutes of action when a Madison Blashaw goal found the back of the net.

However, the Pacers responded with a quick punch of their own posting a 6-0 run to take a 6-1 lead in the first eight minutes of action.

The Pride was then able to cut the deficit to two with 14:11 remaining in the first half after Kara Whitson, Morgan Montgomery, and Blashaw each scored one goal.

Following the Blashaw goal, the Pacers once again pulled away with a five-goal run before Whitson and Blashaw struck once again to pull Greensboro to within five goals at the break.

After the Pacers scored the first two goals of the second half, Greensboro went on a 6-2 run over the next 12 minutes to pull within 15-12 with 16:18 remaining. Mackenzie Burns had three goals during the run while Montgomery, Blashaw, and Whitson had one goal apiece.

Despite pulling to within the three-goal margin, the Pride was unable to get any closer over the remainder of the game as the Pacers were able to pull away for the nine-goal victory.

Blashaw and Whitson each finished with four goals while Burns tallied three goals. Sada Hollowell picked up the loss in goal for the Pride.
