GREENSBORO, N.C. – Kara Whitson and
Madison Blashaw combined for 11 goals as the Greensboro College women's lacrosse team coasted past the Panthers of LaGrange College Saturday 20-4.
Murphie Davis scored the game's first goal before Whitson found the back of the net to extend the Pride lead to 2-0.
The Panthers then scored their first goal of the afternoon before
Mackenzie Burns,
Morgan Montgomery, Whitson, and Blashaw combined to score the next six goals to push the Pride advantage to 8-1.
After the Panthers pulled within six goals, Greensboro struck for four more goals to take a 12-2 lead into the half.
Logan Schnabl scored just 12 seconds into the second half before Greensboro outscored the Panthers 6-1 over the final 29 minutes to secure the victory.
Sada Hollowell picked up the win in goal and recorded four saves.
