DEMOREST, Ga. – The Greensboro College men's basketball team dropped their opening game of a two-day USA South Athletic Conference road trip to the Lions of Piedmont College Friday 72-56.
Piedmont held a 16-6 lead midway through the first half before Greensboro used a 16-4 run over the next 4:16 to take their first lead of the game at 22-20.

Carmoni Marks, and
Greyson Collins hit from three-point range on consecutive possessions to cap off the run.
Follow the run, the two teams traded the lead back and forth before the Lions regained a four-point lead before Collins tallied a layup to pull Greensboro to within 30-28 at the break.
In the second half, Greensboro struggled to get their offense going, as Piedmont used hot shooting to extend their lead and go on to record the victory.
Michael Phifer finished with a team-leading 14 points while Collins and Langley had 10 points each.
The Pride men will return to action Saturday when they travel to Brevard College for a 2 p.m. tip.
