GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Greensboro College women's tennis team fell to the Broncos of Fayetteville State University Saturday to open their 2019 season 7-2.
Greensboro got the match started with a win as
Anna Rae Porcelli and
Matti Moore picked up a 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles while the doubles team of
Hunter Cashion and
Samantha Lopez lost a tightly contest match at No. 3 doubles.
Following her win in doubles action, Porcelli took the opening game of her No.1 singles match by a 7-6 score before securing the Pride's final point with a 6-2 win in the second game.
"I am very proud of my ladies for the way they competed today," Head Coach
Gus Mota said. "It was a great match but we are looking to get better for our next match."
