RALEIGH, N.C. – The Greensboro College volleyball team split a pair of matches at a USA South Athletic Conference tri-match hosted by Meredith College Saturday.
The Pride defeated the Falcons of Pfeiffer University to start the day by a 3-1 score before falling to the host Angels in five sets.
In their match against Pfeiffer, Greensboro took the opening set by a 25-14 score before falling in Set 2, 28-26. Following their Set 2 loss, the Pride went on to close out the match with wins of 25-22 and 25-16 over the next two sets.
Carly Uhlir posted a team-leading 14 kills in the victory while Dixie Faulk passed for 45 assists.
Sarah Egbers also finished with double figure kills with 11.
Following their victory over the Falcons, Greensboro took the opening set against the Angels by a 25-15 score before falling in the next two by scores of 25-20 and 25-15. However, Greensboro was able to rally to win the fourth set by a 25-23 mark before falling in the decisive fifth set.
Egbers and Uhlir paced the Pride once again with a combined 23 kills while
Kayce Jo Harris finished with 23 digs. Faulk also finished with 23 digs to go along with 40 assists.
