LYNCHBURG, Va. — The Greensboro College volleyball team fell to the Hornets of Lynchburg University Tuesday, 3-0.

Greensboro dropped the first two sets by scores of 25-21 and 25-22.

"The first two sets we stuck with the game plan and we're making smart decisions and hustle plays," Head Coach Kevin Troup said. "We played really well and flustered the defense."

After falling narrowly in the first two, the Pride suffered a 25-4 setback in Set 3.

"In the third we could not overcome our own errors and never got a rhythm nor any type of consistency," Troup added.

Alycia Artis posted a team-leading nine kills, while Sarah Egbers and Jasha Reed combined for seven.

Katie Clark finished the evening with 19 assists and Tori Belcher had 16 digs.
