Men's Lacrosse Suffers Eight-Goal Setback at Pfeiffer

MISENHEIMER, N.C. – The Greensboro College men's lacrosse team fell to the Falcons of Pfeiffer University Saturday, 20-12.

Greensboro established a 2-0 lead in the first period following goals by Austin Bane and Joseph Stump before the Flacons scored the next eight goals to take a six-goal lead midway through the second period.

Andrew Klementz and Kyle Dahlin then found the back of the net over the next two minutes to pull Greensboro to within four before the Falcons struck again.

Following the Dahlin goal, Pfeiffer struck once again to extend their lead out to 9-4 before taking a 10-5 lead into halftime.

Pfeiffer then tallied the first three goals of the third period before Dahlin tallied a hat trick with his third goal of the evening to make the score 13-6 with 4:20 showing on the clock.

Over the final 19 minutes of play, Dahlin and Michael Halladay tallied two goals, while Ryan Cole and Stump found the back of the net once but it was not enough, as the Falcons were able to secure the eight-goal victory.
