FERRUM, N.C. – The Greensboro College women's tennis team fell to the Panthers of Ferrum College Tuesday, 8-1.
The Pride dropped all three doubles matches, despite a strong challenge at the No.2 and No.3 positions, before picking up their lone win in singles play.
Samantha Lopez tallied her first win of the season in three sets. Lopez won her opening set by a 6-1 score before dropping Set 2, 4-6, sending the match into a decisive third set.
In the set, Lopez got ahead early as was able to close out the match with a 10-7 win.
At No.1 singles,
Anna Rae Porcelli fell in three sets.
Hunter Cashion,
Lauren Rodriguez,
Caroline Price and
Rachel Hamilton also competed for Greensboro.
