GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Greensboro College women's tennis team fell to the Spirits of Salem College Friday, 8-1.
Greensboro hung tough in doubles play, but was unable to come away with a win and found themselves trailing 3-0 heading into singles action.
In singles play,
Anna Rae Porcelli tallied a win at her No. 1 spot. She took the opening set, 6-4, before closing out the match with a 6-2 win.
Rachel Hamilton,
Samantha Lopez,
Lauren Rodriguez and
Hunter Cashion were able to take at least one game in their respective matches.
"The girls continue to play hard," head coach
Gus Mota said. "Anna Rae continued her strong season and we are looking forward to returning to action tomorrow."
