GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Greensboro College women's tennis team fell to the Monarchs of Methodist University Friday, 8-1.
 
After dropping their three doubles matches, Greensboro was able to get on the board in singles but was unable to mount a comeback.
 
Anna Rae Porcelli picked up the Pride's lone win at No.3 singles.
 
Porcelli won the opening set of her match by a 7-5 mark before securing the point for her team with a 6-2 win in Set 2.
 
Samantha Lopez and Lauren Rodriguez were able to take at least on game in their respective matches.
 
"I am really proud of my girls for fighting hard today," Head Coach Gus Mota. "Methodist has been a tough opponent for every team they have faced this year, but it was great to see Anna Rae get a point for her teammates."
