BREVARD, N.C. – The Greensboro College football team dropped their season finale to the Tornados of Brevard College 28-7.
Brevard took 21-0 lead into the fourth quarter before Greensboro was able to get on the board.
With the Tornados facing a third down on their own 34-yard line, Dalton Cole threw the ball across the middle of the field where
Kasseem Bagley recorded his second interception of the day.
Bagley then scampered 55-yards into the end zone to make the score 21-6 before
Ronnie Hall added the point after attempt.
Following the pick-six, the Tornados would add one final score in the contest late in the quarter to secure the 21-point win.
"Tough game today but the boys fought until the end," Head Coach
Greg Crum said. "Offensively we made some plays but could not sustain drives.
"I am extremely proud of this team and I wish our seniors the best. They will always be men of Pride! It is time to move forward and the guys are looking forward to hitting the off season Monday."
In addition to his two interceptions, Bagley finished with a team-leading nine tackles while
Jeremiah Speed also chipped in nine, including ½ tackle for loss.
James Pegues,
Josh Jones,
Michael Hayes, Javon Bower and
Jason Gerber combined for five sacks.
Da'Shaun Wallace paced the Greensboro offense with 64 yards receiving on four receptions.
Louis Briggs III finished with 31 yards rushing and 38 yard receiving.
