Women's Soccer Records Shutout Victory Over Wilson, 12-0

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – The Greensboro College women's soccer team blanked Wilson College Friday, 12-0.
 
Meredith Priest scored the first two goals of the game in the first 11 minutes of the contest to give the Pride a 2-0 lead.
 
Devin D'Agostin and Erika Nash added to the Greensboro lead before Alexis Chase recorded a hat trick to give the Pride a 7-0 halftime lead.
 
Following the break, Samantha Lopez struck to extend the advantage to eight goals, but the Pride was not done there.
 
Over the final 30 minutes of play, Anna Rae Porcelli, Madison Karch, Mercedes Fisher and Samantha Whipp each found the back of the net to secure the 12-goal victory.
 
"Today was a total team effort and we moved the ball extremely well," Head Coach Gus Mota said. "I was very pleased with our performance as we were able to capitalize on some crosses into the box.
 
"We will take a day off tomorrow and go to the Hershey Factory and enjoy some team bonding before getting back to work Sunday."
 
Lauren Rodriguez picked up the win in goal for the Pride.
