DEMOREST, Ga.—The Greensboro College women's basketball team defeated the Hawks of Huntingdon College Saturday, 62-57.
It was a constant battle for the lead as Greensboro set out to snap their two-game losing streak.
After tying up the game at the start of both the third and fourth period, the Pride women battled for the victory.
Within 12 seconds, Greensboro commenced a 17-4 run to pull away from the Hawks and win the game.
"I thought we came more ready than yesterday," Head Coach
Randy Tuggle said. "We played a lot harder and that's the big thing I am looking for every game."
Katie Lewis dropped 20 points, two assists and three steals, while both
Rasheika Gregory and
Sabria Joseph recorded 10 points apiece.
