SALEM, Va. – The Greensboro College baseball team dropped its final game of the 2016 season to Roanoke College Wednesday, 10-5.
The Pride (10-29) scored two first-inning runs off walks by
Kyle Willard and
Mac Graham before the Maroons cut the advantage with one run in the bottom half of the inning.
Greensboro then added two more runs in the second inning. Daniel Efrid scored on a Roanoke error for the first run of the inning, before
Brandon Soden plated
Brian Robbett with a single to center field.
After the Maroons pulled within 4-3, the Pride scored its final run in the fifth inning on a single by
James Wilkins.
RC then scored the game's final seven runs to secure the five-run victory.
Wilkins recorded a team-high three hits, while
Kyle Willard tallied two hits.
Tyler Henderson,
Bram Johnson,
J.P. Lisk, Robbett, and Soden each had one hit.
Dustin Minnick,
Jeff Waring, and Edward Dournda (0-4) each pitched two innings, while Lisk and Robbett tossed one inning.
