GREENSBORO, N.C. – Kirstin Norris tallied six goals and seven assists as the Greensboro College women's lacrosse team opened USA South Athletic Conference play with a 25-1 victory over LaGrange College.
Kirstin Norris tallied three goals early for the Pride (2-0, 1-0 USA South), while
Natalie Ritchey,
Ashlynn Parks,
Amira Khatib,
Laine Walston, and
Kara Whitson combined for six goals to give Greensboro a 9-0 lead before the Panthers (0-6, 0-1 USA South) scored their lone goal of the game.
Alexa Besch then beat the LaGrange keeper for two goals, while
Katherine Holmes scored her second goal of the season as Greensboro took a 14-1 halftime lead.
Greensboro scored 11 unanswered goals in the second half to secure the victory.
Besch finished with four goals, while Ritchey and Parks recorded three goals apiece.
Amira Khatib, Walston, and
Mackenzie Flemmons each had two goals.
Kaleigh Hemstock picked up her second win of the season in goal for the Pride after making three saves.
