The Battling Bishops then scored the next seven runs to secure the five-run victory.

Maddy Wetherholt took the loss for the Pride.
Allyson Yeager gave Greensboro a 2-0 lead in the first inning of Game 2 on her first home run of the season.
However, the Bishops scored three runs in the fourth inning to take a one-run lead before the Pride scored eight unanswered runs to pick up its first conference victory of the season. Brittany Rush recorded two RBI singles during the run, while Yeager,
Sarah Connolly, and Tompkins had at least one RBI each.
Alexis Hall, Puckett, Yeager, and Rush each had a team-high two hits, while Nicole Wallace and Tompkins recorded one hit.
Dawn Harris picked up the win.
"We started out with a rough out today as we were not fundamentally sound," Interim Head Coach Denzell Wallace said. "After the slow start we came back with renewed energy in the second game as we were able to have more productive at-bats while keeping their hitters off-balance."
The Pride will return to action at 2 p.m. Sunday when they travel to Methodist University for another USA South double-header. For more information on Greensboro College softball, continue to follow
