FARMVILLE, Va. – The Greensboro College baseball team fell to Wesley College 7-4 Sunday in its final game of the Floyd Wilcox Tournament, hosted by Hampden-Sydney College.
The Wolves (2-1) took a 1-0 lead in the first inning.
Greensboro (3-7) responded to take a 3-1 lead in the second inning.

Mac Graham hit his first homerun of the season to score Wilkins.
Wesley then moved ahead 4-3, following a three-run fourth inning, before the Pride tied the game in the sixth inning. Denham led off the inning with a single before advancing into scoring position on a sacrifice bunt by J.P Lisk. Wilkins's second hit of the afternoon tied the game.
However, Wesley scored three runs over the final three innings to pick up the win.
"Even though today's outcome was not what we would like, there were many positives that we can take from the game and the entire weekend," Head Coach
Frank Maldonado said. "We can see the improvement that the team is making as they continue to compete and work together. That is all that we can ask for."
Daniel Efird also recorded two hits on the afternoon, while
Zach Neumeister tallied one base hit.
Jeff Waring pitched 4 1/3 innings before giving way to
Hunter Wolfington, who recorded the loss.
Aaron Brown and
Will McGuire also pitched in the contest.
