MARYVILLE. Tenn. – The Greensboro College women's basketball team fell to No. 13/No. 25 Maryville College Saturday, 77-49.
The Scots (15-2, 8-0 USA South) tallied the first two buckets of the contest before the Pride (10-7, 6-2 USA South) used an 8-0 run to establish an 8-4 lead.
Marla Crawford started the run before
Kamerin Williams capped it off with an old fashion three-point play.
Alexis Hite accounted for the other three points.
After tying the game at 17 just before the end of the first period, Maryville established a 26-17 lead following a 9-0 run of its own. Greensboro then pulled to within 31-35 just before halftime.
During the final two periods, the Pride struggled to get anything going offensively and fell by the 77-49 mark.
Crawford led the way for Greensboro with 14 points.
Alyssa Carbone finished with 13 points, while Hite chipped in 12 points.
