Women's Lacrosse Breezes By Huntingdon

The Greensboro College Women's Lacrosse team defeated Huntingdon College, 22-11 earlier this afternoon.

Kirsten Norris scored four first half goals while Alexa Besch scored three. Kirstin Norris and Amira Khatib scored two apiece and Ashlynn Parks, Natalie Ritchey, and Devan Macheras scored one each. The team left the first half with a 14-8 lead.

During the second half, five of the Greensboro players found the back of the net eight times. Parks scored three times, and Besch scored twice. Khatib, Fedun and Norris all scored once each. 

Fedun and Ritchey passed for two assists each in the game while Norris, Besch and Khatib passed for one. Norris and Besch lead the team in goals with five apiece. Kaleigh Hemstock picked up the win for The Pride making 11 saves in goal. 

Greensboro won 19 draw controls and took 43 shots on goal.

With the win, Greensboro improves to 3-1 overall and 2-1 in the conference while Huntingdon moves to 0-8 overall and 0-3 in the conference. Greensboro will host Washington & Jefferson College on Wednesday, March 18 at 3 p.m.
