LaGRANGE, GA --The Greensboro College Women's Lacrosse team defeated LaGrange College, 23-4, on Saturday afternoon.
Nadya Fedun accounted for four first half goals while Kirstin Norris, Natalie Ritchey, Ashlynn Parks, and Amira Khatib accounted for eight more goals taking a 12-3 lead. Norris scored three, Fedun and Parks scored two, and Khatib scored one goal.
During the second half, five of the Greensboro players found the back of the net 11 times. Norris scored four more goals while Ritchey and Khatib scored two each and Parks and Jessica Pogue scored one apiece.
"Today we came out with the aggression and intensity that we need to come out with every game, everyone contributed for the win," said Pride Interim Head Coach Christie Hebert. "Attack played hard and possessed the ball to get the good shot on goal. Kaleigh Hemstock was an asset in goal with eight saves."
Norris passed for four assists in the game while Kelsey Cenate passed for three. Fedun also passed for three and Parks and Ritchey passed for one.
With the win, Greensboro improves to 2-1 overall and 1-1 in the conference while LaGrange moves to 1-6 overall and 0-2 in the conference. Greensboro will play Huntingdon in a conference matchup tomorrow at 2:30 p.m.
