LAGRANGE, GA – The Greensboro College women's soccer team traveled to take on the Panthers of LaGrange College on Saturday morning. The Pride was able to keep their shutout streak alive by defeating the Panthers by a 2-0 mark.
Greensboro found the back of the net just over seven minutes into the game.
Samara Alba converted on a penalty kick to give the Pride a 1-0 lead.
The Pride then kept the Panthers off the board to take a one goal lead into the break.
After the intermission, Greensboro was able to strike one final time to secure their third straight shutout.
Samara Alba scored her second goal of the game off an assist from
Gabbriele Edinger.
Brittany Morrison picked up the win in the net for the Pride after collecting three saves.
"I am really happy that we were able to win on the road again today," stated Head Coach
Gus Mota following the game. "It is always tough to win on the road, but we have to quickly turn around and get ready to play Huntingdon tomorrow."
The Pride (8-3, 3-2 USA South) will once again be in action tomorrow at Huntingdon College in another USA South tilt. The game is set to get underway at 1:00 PM. For the latest on Pride women's soccer, continue to follow
