LAGRANGE, GA—The Greensboro College men's soccer team moved their win streak to three on Saturday afternoon. The Pride defeated the Panthers of LaGrange College, 5-0, in USA South Athletic Conference action.
Carlos Barragan recorded his first goal of the game just four minutes into the game when he was able to beat the LaGrange keeper to the top left corner of the goal. Just two minutes later,
Robbie Barnes took a feed from
Craig Gage to extend the Greensboro lead to 2-0.
Later in the half, Greensboro was able to get another from Barragan while
Shaun Watt scored off another assist from Gage to send the Pride into the halftime period up 4-0.
After the intermission period, it only took Greensboro less than two minutes to score the game's final goal.
Carlos Barragan completed a hat trick with his third goal of the game while
Craig Gage recorded his third assist.
Jamie Payamps recorded the win in goal for Greensboro despite only facing one shot on goal.
Chandler Pribble also appeared in goal for the Pride.
"The boys started the game fast as they were able to put away several chances early," stated Head Coach
Tony Falvino. "The quick start allowed us to play on the front foot. Now we move on and look forward to Huntingdon tomorrow."
The Pride (5-4-1. 2-0-1 USA South) will return to action tomorrow afternoon against Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama. The game is set to get underway at 3:00 PM. For the latest on Pride men's soccer, continue to follow
