"Our season is still young and we have many areas of the game to improve on." Pride Head Coach Bryan Galuski also said, "Tonight Guilford was the better team. I felt that our kids played hard throughout the game but we had to chase all night."
The Pride's Devan Gregory led all scorers with 27 points in the game while Simeon Howard was the only other Greensboro player in double figures with 10 points.
The two teams were dead even in the rebound category with 37 each, but Greensboro was able to hold an 11-7 advantage on the offensive boards. Raheem Martin and Simeon Howard each pulled down a team high six rebounds. Hamilton Hawkins and Paris Scales also contributed five rebounds apiece as well.
With the loss, the Pride men see their overall record fall to 1-1 on the season. The Pride men will have the weekend off before returning to the court at Warren Wilson on Monday afternoon. The game is set for a 7:00 PM start. These two teams met up earlier this week in Hanes Gymnasium where Greensboro ran past the Owls 78-54.
