Stephen Widenhouse enters his 3rd year as Director of Sports Information. Hired in November of 2023, Widenhouse comes to Greensboro College with previous Sports Information experience at Pfeiffer University and Catawba College.
A graduate of Pfeiffer University with a B.A. in Sport Management, Widenhouse served his alma mater as an Assistant SID in 2018 and served in the same role at Catawba College for an additional two years. From August 2021 through October 2023, Widenhouse accepted responsibilities as the Athletic Director for Arborbrook Christian Academy in Matthews, NC.
Earlier in his career, he served as an assistant baseball coach at Albemarle High School while also handling the Social Media Coordinator duties for Stanly County Legion Baseball.Â
Widenhouse says of the new opportunity with Greensboro College, "I am very grateful for this opportunity to serve the Greensboro College athletic department as the Director of Sports Information. With having multiple family members as Greensboro College alumni as well as two of them being student-athletes here, it is an exciting opportunity to serve a school that is very dear to my family and I cannot wait to help enhance our sports information department any way I can."
