Abby Chopelas is from Indian Trail, NC and is entering her third year at Greensboro College. She attended Catawba College where she earned her degree in Exercises Science with a Concentration in Sports Medicine and a Minor in Psychology. After Graduating from Catawba College, Abby attended the University of Arkansas for her graduate studies and earned a Master’s in Athletic Training.
While at the University of Arkansas, Abby worked with several top programs in the country, including Razorback women’s soccer, baseball, and gymnastics. Abby also did a summer internship with UNC Charlotte football. Abby was a board member of the Arkansas Athletic Training Student Association and was also the Outstanding Athletic Training Student of 2023.
Abby had the opportunity to present research on heat related illnesses at the Arkansas Athletic Training Association state meeting in 2023 and is awaiting publication on her most recent study. Abby currently lives in Thomasville, NC. In her free time, she loves to read, workout, and enjoy time with friends and family.
