Brianna Strickland enters her 2nd season leading the Greensboro College Softball program. Under her leadership in 2024, the team went 30-14 overall and 13-5 in conference play, earning a trip to the USA South Conference Tournament.Â
Strickland most recently served as the assistant coach at Augusta University in Augusta, GA the past three seasons. Before Augusta, Strickland spent two seasons as an assistant coach at her alma mater, Coker University.
As a player, Strickland earned SAC All-Tournament Team selections in both her junior and senior seasons as part of a Coker program that reached the NCAA Division II Southeast Regionals both years. Before playing at Coker, Strickland pitched for St. Petersburg College where she was named Pitcher of the Year and First Team All-Conference as a sophomore.
Greensboro Athletic Director Jerry Fisk says of Strickland, "After a thorough national search, Brianna distanced herself from the field and stood out as the leader that our softball team needs as they try to build upon its success. Her enthusiasm and ability to connect with coaches and student-athletes was tremendous and will serve Pride student-athletes well. I would like to thank the search committee and others that helped as we worked through some fantastic candidates and, ultimately, hired Bri.
On being hired to lead the Pride softball program, Strickland says, "I am super excited and honored to have this opportunity to grow in a head coaching position, and to continue the excellence in this program! I am looking forward to joining the Pride softball family."
