Biography

2021: Played in 31 games, starting 29, where she hit .341 with seven doubles and 21 RBI. She stole three bases and posted a .931 fielding percentage at third bases with 38 assists. Newman posted eight multi-hit efforts on the season. She hit three-for-four with three RBI in the 3/14 non-conference matchup at Meredith. Newman hit two-for-four with two doubles and two RBI in the second game of the 3/24 doubleheader at Ferrum. Newman posted the go-ahead RBI in the 3/27 matchup against Pfeiffer that was completed on 4/16. She also posted four RBI in a three-for-three effort with two doubles in the second game of the 4/3 doubleheader with William Peace.
