Greensboro, NC - It was a successful senior day for Greensboro College Women's Lacrosse (4-13, 3-6) as they took down William Peace (0-12, 0-9) 10-1 on Saturday afternoon in their regular season finale.
The Pride got the scoring started early with four first quarter goals.
Brynly ManWaring scored two of her four goals in the period, while
KP Pageot and
Kenzie Helton also scored.
Three more goals were scored by Greensboro in the second to take a 7-0 lead at halftime. Greensboro would get three second half goals, including two by
Keira Fenyo, and would cruise to victory.
ManWaring led all scorers with four goals while Pageot and Fenyo had two each. Helton and
Sydney Patton also scored once. ManWaring had seven ground balls as did Pageot. Patton led the team in caused turnovers with five.
Carly Walton had a strong effort in goal, coming away with the win and five saves.
Up Next:
Greensboro will travel to Piedmont for round one of the USA South Conference Tournament next Saturday.
