Greensboro, NC- Softball's Kenly Brown and baseball's Michael Richards are this week's Greensboro College Pride Athletes of the Week.

Brown, a freshman from Greensboro, NC who attended Southern Guilford, has impressed this season as one of the young arms on the softball team. She went 1-1 last week, earning the win in a complete game effort against Lynchburg (her first career complete game), giving up just one earned run, walking none, and whiffing four. On the season, Brown is 2-1 with a 2.58 ERA and one save. She also had a strong week at the plate, going 3-8 with three RBI and a pair of runs scored.

Softball travels to Ashland, Virginia on Wednesday for a doubleheader at Randolph-Macon.

Richards continues to climb up the leader board as one of the winningest pitchers in Greensboro College history. Facing #9 Adrian College on Friday, Richards twirled six innings of two-run ball (none earned), walking two and striking out five on the way to a victory. Richards is now 3-1 this season, good for the most wins in the USA South and fifth most in the country. In Greensboro College history, his 15 career wins are tied with A.J. Sirianni for 5th most all-time, just one behind Chris Mock in 4th.

Baseball takes on Muskingum on Wednesday before conference play begins with a home series against N.C. Wesleyan this weekend.
