Greensboro, NC - It was all Greensboro on Saturday afternoon as the Pride scored a 22-3 victory on Senior Day.
Brynly ManWaring led the team with 9 goals on the afternoon.
The Pride scored six goals in the first quarter to get out to an early lead. Greensboro scored the first nine goals before the Bishops scored their first. Greensboro took a 12-1 lead into halftime, but the scoring would continue throughout the second half.
Five more goals were scored by the Pride in the third and fourth quarters, as Greensboro scored twenty-two goals for the first time since 2020. The win improves Greensboro's conference record to 4-4 on the season, already two wins more than a season ago.
Along with her nine goals, ManWaring reached the forty goal mark on the season. She picked up five ground balls and had three caused turnovers.
Rosanna Espinosa-Ponce had a great final game on Pride Field, scoring five goals and having eight caused turnovers. She also had six ground balls.
Madison Wildman scored two goals on the day, while
Regan Dailey,
Bethany McQuinn,
Kenzie Helton,
Sydney Patton,
Alexandra Carefoot, and
Keira Fenyo all had one goal each. Goalie
Carly Walton earned the win, allowing just three goals and totaling six saves.
Greensboro out-shot NC Wesleyan 44-12 while earning ten more ground balls.Â
The Pride finish their regular season on the road against Methodist on April 18th.Â
