Coralville, Iowa - History was made on Saturday for Greensboro women's wrestling as
Destiny Vaughans became the first women's wrestler in program history to become an All-American after an eighth place finish at the women's wrestling National Championships.
Vaughans earned All-American status after her first match of day two in consolation round four. Vaughans went 3-1 on Friday to advance to day two.Â
Despite losing her final two rounds in the tournament, Vaughans finished eighth overall in the 207lb class.Â

Kyra Tomlinson represented the Pride women's wrestling team at the National Championships this weekend as Tomlinson went 2-2 in her matches on Friday. The program finishes the season with an All-American (Vaughans) and a top twenty wrestler in the nation in the 138lb weight class (Tomlinson).
This was the second time the program has sent at two wrestlers to the National Championships, with the first being in 2021-2022 with Isabella Ruiz and Ariana Wolkerstorfer.
