Buena Vista, VA - It was another big night on the mat for Greensboro men's wrestling as they took down Southern Virginia 31-21 on Saturday night for their second straight ODAC victory.
With the win, the Pride have earned their most ODAC wins in a single season since they joined the ODAC conference. It's the third dual meet win of the season, with previous wins over St. Andrews and Randolph College.
Ivan Benitez earned his second straight win by Fall in the 133lb weight class for the Pride's first win of the night.
Josh Wilson then won the 141lb match by Fall. With the win, Wilson has still only lost one match all season.
Ethan Kring earned a victory by Decision (18-13) in the 165lb match, and then
Adrian Soto-Perez took home the win in the 174lb class. Soto-Perez is now 2-0 since joining the Pride program.
In the final two matches of the night,
Isaiah Manning defeated Britton Sorenson in the 197lb weight class, and
Jacob Barlow took home the win in the heavyweight class by Fall. In the lone exhibition match,
Billy Bell earned a win to cap off the night.

Isaiah Manning, who were also instrumental in the Greensboro College Pride getting the win!! The other victory on the night was by 165 pounder
Ethan Kring, who had a decision win. We've been working really hard and making some adjustments that translated to the match tonight. We go back to the lab in Greensboro to keep working, but very proud of the overall effort by everyone!"
The Pride wrestle again on January 30th when they take on Roanoke College at 7:00 pm.
