Greensboro, NC - The Greensboro men's wrestling team took down Randolph College for their first ODAC win of the season on Thursday night, 35-22.
For the Pride,
Ivan Benitez got Greensboro's first victory of the night with a win by Fall in the 133lb class.
Josh Wilson then took a dominant win by Fall over Adon Overstreet in the 141lb match.
After two forfeit wins for Randolph, the Wildcats' Jordan Nutter won the 165lb class. However, Greensboro took over from there, winning the last four matches of the night. Newcomer
Adrian Soto-Perez got his first win as a member of the Pride with a quick pin against Austin Frazier in the 174lb match.Â
After this,
Luke Gregory (184lb)Â earned a hard fought victory by Fall.
Isaiah Manning continued his hot streak by earning a win against Harriss Sullivan by Tech Fall (19-3). In the heavyweight round,
Jacob Barlow made quick work of Thomas Head, earning a win by Fall in just 14 seconds.
Greensboro is now 1-2 in ODAC matches this season, and will travel to face off against ODAC opponent Southern Virginia this Saturday at 7:00 pm.
