Lynchburg, VA - The 2024 Women's Lacrosse season got underway on Wednesday night as Greensboro took on Randolph College. The Pride fell 10-7 despite getting three goals from freshman Keira Fenyo.

Randolph College scored the opening two goals of the game, and scored two more goals in the second quarter. The Pride scored three goals in the second quarter to make it a 5-3 game heading into halftime. The Pride scored four goals in the third quarter to tie the game 7-7. Fenyo scored two of her goals in the third quarter.

Unfortunately for Greensboro, they couldn't score any goals in the final quarter as Randolph College scored three to win the game, 10-7. Sabrina Speake scored two goals for the Pride while Emily Gearhart and Gabby Heck scored one goal each.

Greensboro totaled 25 shots and totaled 11 saves in goal. D'Kayla Thomasson and Carly Walton split time in goal for the Pride. Greensboro had 13 ground balls, and had 15 draw controls compared to Randolph College's 6.

The Pride will host Baldwin Wallace on March 7th on Pride Field. Game time is scheduled for 4:00 PM.
